Your organization must have a contract with Emory Healthcare that includes a “chain of trust” agreement. All organizations must have a valid business reason to access the Emory Healthcare network.
Emory Healthcare, as well as your organization, must assign an Executive Sponsor. The Executive Sponsors should be the project leaders requiring remote access to fulfill a business need. Executive Sponsors are responsible for communication between the organizations, approval of access, and notifying Security Services of abuse of access and termination of contracts. The Access Coordinator (AC) in the department of the Executive Sponsor for Emory Healthcare shall be responsible for requesting access as needed. The Executive Sponsors must be listed on each request for access submitted by the AC.
Each person accessing the Emory Healthcare network must sign both the HIPAA Security Awareness Training Acknowledgement and Confidentiality Statement and fax it to Security Services at 404-727-0759. The AC should coordinate the handling of the Confidentiality Statement(s).
