| The first time you login to Lotus Notes via the VDT, several things happen. 1) The system checks to be sure you're set up with a VDT profile. In rare instances, this step might have been missed and you'd see the windows shown here. Click OK and contact the 8HELP Call Center. You'll need to run Lotus Notes from the local workstation instead of from VDT until the problem is resolved. |
|
2) The system asks you if you are using VDT from the machine where you usually use Lotus Notes. That's to ensure the correct Lotus Notes configuration information is made available to you via VDT. Click No if you're not at your usual computer this first time you use Lotus Notes. |

3) The system then begins to search for your Notes ID file and displays the name of the person whose ID file was found. If that's you, click Yes. If that's not you, click No...the system will keep searching. |

If the system cannot find another
ID file or cannot find the right ID file, you'll see this screen. Click
OK. Then contact 8-HELP. |
|
4) The system will copy the necessary configuration information for use in the VDT environment. This may take several minutes. 5) Lastly, you will be prompted to enter your Lotus Notes password. You'll only have to type this password once. Your password will be stored so that you will login to Notes automatically when you click the Notes icon in the future. |
